PAUL LATO Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands ‘Lancelot Pisoni Vineyard’ 2021

The Pisoni vineyard has an average vine age of 39 years where this incredible bottle of Pinot Noir has it’s beginning vintage after vintage. The 2021 Lancelot Pinot from Paul Lato explodes out of the gate with aromas of black cherry, mulberry, bitter herbs, sagebrush, and sweet milk chocolate. Perfect levels of acidity meet the grippy but wonderfully balanced, crunchy tannins to produce a wine that keeps you coming back for more. It needs another year or two in the bottle before enjoying, and then drink over the next 10-15 years. Highly recommended and Editor’s Choice.
