The 2018 'Rive Droite' is a spectacular wine from Blankiet Estate that displays a stunning combination of power and refinement. This Right Bank inspired blend slowly unwinds in glass, releasing wonderful aromatics of ripe blackberries, black cherries and hints of blueberries, which are accented by crushed florals, tobacco and wet gravel. This possesses a gorgeous full body that is beautifully structured with polished tannins that provide excellent support. This displays remarkable definition and poise ending with an incredibly long finish. While this is already gorgeous in its youth, it should ultimately become even more compelling after a few more years of bottle age.
