The 2019 Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Cabernet Sauvignon is Carter Cellars first vintage from this famous Vineyard which lies on the Oakville floor, just south of Beckstoffer To Kalon and north of Yountville. This instantly opens to seductive aromas of ripe blackcurrants and blueberries that are wound together with lead pencil shavings, violets, gravel, dried exotic spices and sweet oak nuances. The palate is absolutely stunning, full-bodied and seamless, with an incredible deep concentrated inner-core that pumps out layers of perfectly ripe dark and blue fruit flavors along with hints of mocha and graphite which continue to resonate all the way through the long expressive finish where it continues to display a wonderful sense of purity and freshness. This is an absolute gem from Cater cellars that delivers on every level, a truly remarkable Cabernet that is excellent now, but will certainly be a wine that will age gracefully.
