SAVAGE GRACE Syrah, Yakima Valley ‘Red Willow’ 2017

Another quaffable but serious Syrah that checks in at 12.7% alcohol. It’s well rounded, with no rough edges, and delivers wild blackberry, smoked meat, fresh violet, green olive, and cracked pink peppercorn on the nose and on the palate. It’s 5 years old now and will have another decade or more of life as it ages. Round acidity and tannins work with the wonderful herbaceous and mineral finish.
