Deep purple in color and carrying a nose of black cherry, the 2021 Une Vallee Red Blend is a well put together wine. Possessing a fine tannic structure, this dark purple offering shows aromas of black cherry and oak. The entry has a nice mouthfeel and showcases notes of red raspberry, plum, menthol, anise and chocolate. While showing some depth early, with time in the glass it shifts to another gear and flashes a deeper anise flavor along with coffee bean. A nice 45 second finish completes the enjoyable journey. No need to delay enjoyment, this wine is ready now and should sail for another 12+ years.
