Red Mountain and Boushey fruit that is aged for 20 months in 35% new French oak. A blend of 98% Syrah and 2% Viognier make up the 2020 Signature Syrah from Delille and displays a vivid dark ruby and purple core with a pinkish rim, it expresses itself nicely in the glass. Captivating aromas and flavors of spiced black plum, blueberry, pencil shavings, dried dusty herbs, black olives, and a touch of meat provide a generous and full-bodied palate. Still a bit young, the chalk tannins play front and center alongside grapefruit-like acidity and a touch of sweet vanilla.
