A beautiful Chardonnay that spends 14 months in 5% new French oak barrels. It’s a touch reductive on the nose when you first open the bottle, but that quickly blows off to reveal ripe Bartlett pear, quince, fresh sage and toasted almonds. The palate is much the same with ripe apple and lemon peel tones but also some earthy characteristics of white mushroom and wet chalky soil. Should be a lovely drinker over the next 5-6 years. 575 cases produced.
