Finally, the 2018 Lancel Creek Pinot Noir rests for 15 months of aging in 40% new French oak barrels and pops in the glass with a medium ruby core with a brickish rim. Notes of marionberry, wild huckleberry, floral potpourri, sweet nutmeg, and just a smooch of white tobacco leaf are present on the nose. Moving to the palate where flavors of fresh wild blueberry, hoisin sauce, and white pepper dominate alongside elevated acidity, rounded tannins, and a solid finish. Only 316 cases produced.
