Fruit coming from a blend of their top selections of barrels and aged in 27% new French oak, the 2020 Marquis explodes with notes of fresh marionberry, blueberry pie, powdered graphite, and just a hint of yellow peach fruit on the mid-palate. Wonderfully long on the finish, with gorgeous acidity and grippy tannins, ending with a bitter herb and black-fruit-focused finish. Better in 2023.
