The Gap’s Crown Pinot Noirs from Sojourn are always among my favorites, and the 2022 is no exception. Displaying a stunning shimmering medium ruby-purple core with a lighter pink rim, it’s fermented with 15% whole clusters is aged in 50% new French oak. Rich notes of wild huckleberries, boysenberries, black tea, ground clove, and cedary herbs, the smooth tannins, and lemony acidity help with the stunning fruit-driven palate with a length that goes on for minutes. 900 cases made. Drink now or over the next 12 years. Highly recommended.
