The 2019 Los Poteros was aged in 50% new French oak for 20 months and is one of the better Los Poteros that I can remember. Lovely Cabernet notes of crushed blackberry, mountain sagebrush, cassis, cedary herbs, pencil shavings, and new leather spill from the glass. The lovely purity of fruit, grippy tannins, and a spice-driven finish help complete the wine. Better in 2024. 371 cases were made.
