The 2020 River Trace is aged in 25% French oak and 10% American oak barrels and spots a deep dark purple core with a neon purple rim in the glass. This blend of 48% Syrah, 24% Carignane, 12% Grenache, 12% Mourvedre and 4% Malbec delivers notes of grilled black plum, crushed black peppercorn, toasted baking spices, and hints of dried tarragon. Meaty and rich on the palate, it’s a gorgeous GMS that should age well for the next 8 years or so. 403 cases produced.
