The 2019 Dundee Hills Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir explodes from the gates with a lovely bouquet of red raspberry, candied cherry, vanilla bean, tobacco leaf, and a hint of new leather. Showing very Burgundian in style, the palate is red-fruit driven and has aspects of toasted cinnamon and brown mushroom. It’s a wine that is incredibly complex and will age effortlessly for a decade or more. I love the fine-grained tannins and bountiful acidity that hits the tongue while finishing with a solid length. I like the 2019 more than the 2018, and that was a very good wine.
