The 2019 Triple Crown Chardonnay comes from vines planted in 2013 on a southern slope and very deep soils and is barrel-aged for 14 months before bottling. An abundant amount of sun hits the vineyard site, but it’s one of the last to be picked. Featuring a wonderful nose of fresh yellow peach, ocean breeze, mango essence, baked almonds, and clarified butter, it’s a treat for your senses. The palate is more tropical than the nose, with wonderful dried pineapple and toasted clove notes. It’s my favorite of the bunch - very saline and mineral on the nose while delivering mouthwatering acidity and a lengthy finish. Only 234 cases were made. Highly recommended.
