Whole-cluster fermented and aged in barrel for four years before bottling, the 2018 Confluence of Nature Pinot Noir from White Rose is an absolutely phenomenal bottle of wine. A touch fresher on the nose than the other White Rose 2018s, and in a lot of ways, it’s a dead ringer to a beautiful Premier or Grand Cru Burgundy. It displays a bright medium brickish core with a silvery rim and boasts aromas and flavors of fresh lavender, blue plum, wild blueberry, rich baking spice, cracked white peppercorn, and tilled wet earth. Tannins are integrated and silky smooth with perfect levels of acidity and a blue-fruit-driven finish that goes on for minutes. Enjoy this one over the next decade or more with proper cellaring. Just 74 cases were made. Highly recommended.
