Lighter in color with a fluorescent ruby core moving to a brickish rim, the 2021 L’Altra Pinot Noir from Furioso was aged for 10 months in 10% new French oak, with the remainder being neutral. Starting out with some wet earth aromas, it quickly evolved to notes of wild mountain blueberry, red plum skin, dried thyme, sweet baking spice, and shades of crushed roses. It glides across the tongue with a medium-bodied mouthfeel, elegant tannins, and mouthwatering acidity. Another wonderful wine by Furioso. About 430 cases produced.
