DOMAINE SERENE Sparkling Wine, Dundee Hills ‘Vintage Brut’ 2015

I loved the 2015 Vintage Brut from Domaine Serene, this one is a blend of 82% Pinot Noir and 18% Chardonnay that spent 80 months in bottle before being released. You can sense the age of the wine at first glance, but not in a mushroomy way that you would expect for a wine that is almost 10 years old. It still is incredibly fresh but complex with nuanced notes of baked apricots, Meyer lemon zest, brioche, and toasted tree nuts. It’s a rejuvenating wine on the palate with its delicate mousse and deep character. Highly recommended and editor’s choice. 363 cases made
