A blend of 90% Syrah and 10% Viognier coming from the Deux Vert Vineyards that are co-fermented and barrel aged for 30 months. It reminds me of an old-world Northern Rhone Syrah with those lovely earthy and savory notes of black pepper, black olive, roasted game, toasted anise, and purple flowers. The acidity, tannin, body, and structure are all perfectly aligned, leading to a long earthy finish. Give this one a bit of a chill in the fridge before enjoying!
