The 2021 Breakaway from Shea Wine Cellars gifts a gorgeous light ruby core with a neon blue rim in the glass. Lovely spice and earthy notes of wet earth, crushed gravel, and cedary herbs play center stage alongside the crushed Bing cherry, freshly picked red raspberry, and citrus zest aspects on the palate. Polished and sweet tannins and lemony acidity complete the wine. Better in 2024 and then cellar for 10 years or more. Highly recommended.
