SOTER VINEYARDS Pinot Noir, Yamhill-Carlton ‘Origin Series’ 2021

The 2021 Yamhill-Carlton Origin Series comes from fruit grown in the famed Gran Moraine vineyard. It’s aged for 10 months in 30% new French oak barrels before bottling and showcases a medium ruby-purple core with a fluorescent pink rim. Darker fruits shine forth on this Pinot Noir with scintillating notes of forest floor, cedary herbs, Christmas spices, and sweet vanilla, taking center stage alongside the lush dark cherry, blue plum, and boysenberry flavors. A medium body, crunchy tannins, and sweet lemony acidity balance the earthy finish. Just a little over 300 cases were made.
