What an interesting wine that comes from a field blend of 20% Merlot, 32% Pinot Noir, 12% Syrah, and 16% Zweigelt from the Underwood Mountain Vineyard. The nose is telltale Savage Grace and is what made me fall in love with this winery. More earthy and natural in style, it produces low alcohol and notes of black cherry, tar, crushed peppercorn, tomato water, and lemony herbs. It is a wine that is easy to drink, but very much complex. 86 cases produced. Editor’s choice.
