Chris Upchurch’s vineyard surrounding the property grows the grapes for this phenomenal bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. It rests on 100% new French oak and is a blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Merlot. If you love expertly crafted Cabernet’s from the Red Mountain AVA, you will adore this wine as it expresses the terroir perfectly. A perfume of fresh violet, wild sage, black currant and dried tobacco pour from the glass. The mouthfeel is full and luscious with perfect acidity and grippy tannins that compliment, not overpower the wine. Additional flavors of blackberry, cassis, cocoa nibs, and cedar box form on the palate. This is a gorgeous wine now but give it another several years in bottle to really come to life. 450 cases produced. Highly recommended.
