Made with grapes coming from the famed 1989 and 1984-planted blocks of Cabernet at Klipsun Vineyard in Red Mountain, this phenomenal wine spends 20 months in 100% French oak barrels, with 94% being new. A blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec and 1% Merlot boasts a nose of blackberry confiture, black plum, dried lavender, cinnamon stick, dusty country road and baking chocolate. It’s a gorgeous wine that showcases the vintage’s style, concentration and style perfectly. A lengthy and round finish, melds perfectly with the high acidity and black-fruit flavors. Cellar this for another couple of years or give it a 3-4 hour decant before enjoying. Highly recommended.
