This heady, structured and animalistic Syrah, also contains just a splash of Grenache and comes from the Ambassador Estate vineyards of Red Mountain. It is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels with 43% being new. Deep purple in the glass, it displays aromas of purple plum, black olive tapenade, black pepper charcuterie and purple rose petals. The palate gives plenty of structure, layers, acidity and silky tannins, and is rounded out by the ripe blue and black fruit flavors along with some baking spices and dark chocolate. Washington State is producing incredible Syrah’s year after year, and this one is a great example of some of the best. Only 145 cases produced.
