100% Syrah that is aged for 16 months in 35% new French oak barrels with fruit sourced from the famed Red Mountain AVA, this wine undoubtedly has the sense of place that we are looking for as a wine critic. Think of flavors and aromas of wild blackberry compote, blue plum, mountain sage, matchstick, wet clay, and bacon fat. It’s hedonistic on the palate with that meaty and savory component, but fruity and acidic finish. Enjoy this over the next 15 years or more. Highly recommended.
