The scintillating flagship wine from the Hedges Family Estate is brought up for 27 months in 78% new oak, with a combination of French and American barrels being used. Made up of 93% Red Mountain Cabernet, with the rest being equally split between Merlot and Petit Verdot, it’s another fragrant and juicy wine from the Hedges family. Notes of crushed blackberry, espresso powder, blueberry fruit leather, crushed rosemary, tobacco leaf, eucalyptus, and just a hint of tangerine zest are present in the glass and wonderfully combined. It’s still a baby with striking tannins, mouthwatering acidity, and a lengthy, herbaceous finish. Better in 2024. Just 650 cases made.
