WEATHEREYE Clairette, Red Mountain ‘Estate’ 2021

I believe this is the first time I’ve had the Clairette from Weathereye, and it may be the first vintage of this single varietal coming from the estate. Boasting a medium lemon-gold core with a watery rim, this wine is made in a richer and more decadent style - think notes of honey-coated pear, candied Meyer lemon peel, ripe apricot, and white mushroom powder. Rich and a tad oily on the palate, it finishes long with a touch of earthiness that I adored.
