Brought up in 100% neutral oak, this unique varietal incorporates 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Pale ruby in color with aromas of black cherry, it hits the palate with lots of fruit flavor. Not overly tannic, you are immediately met with plum, black cherry, red licorice, and pinecone. This varietal usually thrives in cooler climates, so the warmth of the Red Mountain AVA heat certainly showcases the fruitier side of this varietal spectrum. This is an enjoyable and food friendly wine that is good value at its price point. This won’t make old bones, so enjoy over the next 5-7 years.
