Do you want to experience a near-perfect bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the best winemakers in the state of Washington? Look no further than the 2021 Heart of the Hill from the Betz Family Winery. Focusing on a dark purple core with a glowing purple rim, the nose explodes with yummy aromas of ripe boysenberries, blue plums, black currants, leather, white tobacco leaf, and crunchy Red Mountain sage. Moving to the glorious palate, which presents lush black and blue fruits, stony minerality, and perfectly integrated tannins that provide just enough tension to cut through the mouthwatering acidity. It’s my favorite from the Betz lineup and deserves every bit of attention that it will receive. Editor’s Choice and Highly Recommended.
