A blend of 64% Cabernet Franc, with the rest being Merlot, it was aged for 20 months in 57% new French oak barrels. A deep purple and ruby core with a glistening pink rim, the nose is brooding and rich - think notes of blackberry preserves, dried mint, white tobacco leaf, green peppercorn, and wet earth. Full-bodied, with ample acidity, and a broad black-fruit and chocolate finish help complete the wine. About 550 cases made.
