The 2021 Optik Pinot Noir from the Bien Nacido Vineyard was aged for 10 months in 30% new French oak barrels. A medium ruby-garnet core with a light neon purple rim in the glass, the nose gifts aromas of baked red plum, stewed dark cherries, allspice, and cedary herbs. The palate develops earthy notes of wet autumn leaves and pine needles alongside the more fruity aspects of baked strawberry pie and crushed red plum. 807 cases were made.
