The 2021 Belle of the Ball was aged for 16 months in 50% new French oak, it sports a medium lemon core with a silvery rim in the glass. With fruit coming from vines that are almost 25 years old, the nose pops with rich notes of wet white clay, cream, ripe apricot, yellow peach, earth, and sweet cinnamon. Medium to full-bodied, it flows across the palate and delivers a lingering nutty and fruit-forward finish. A small production of about 65 cases produced. Highly recommended. Editor’s Choice.
