The 2015 Enfield Cabernet Sauvignon from the Waterhorse Ridge Vineyard in Fort Ross - Seaview is absolutely stunning. This gorgeous Cabernet is made in a traditional style, and instantly begins to impress with its striking aromas of ripe blackberries and dark cherries which are integrated with smoldering tobacco, green bell pepper, forest floor, dried spices and lovely hints of graphite nuances all coming together beautifully in the glass. On the palate this has a medium-plus body, with a sleek, velvety texture, backed by chalky tannins, bright acidity and incredible depth of flavor. It continues to impress with its outstanding, balance and focus leading up to the long, supple finish. This shows wonderful class and sophistication, and while already extremely attractive, it also should continue to evolve gracefully in the cellar.
