The 2016 Reserve Chardonnay from Cakebread Cellars comes from their family-owned vineyard in Carneros. It instantly begins to impress as it opens to seductive aromas of ripe lime, green apple, peach and vanilla blossoms with a touch of honey, toasted oak and sweet cream. This is a rich, full-bodied Chardonnay with plenty of delicious fruit flavors. It displays wonderful balance, as the creamy texture is underlined by a nice touch of acidity on the finish. This scrumptious Chardonnay will be open for business upon release, and should offer a drinking window that spans a decade long.
