A fantastic showing in 2016, the Beringer Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petite Sirah. It instantly bursts opens with inviting aromas of fresh dark currants, spices, sage, cocoa powder, licorice and dusty nuances. Full-bodied with notable structure and a deep core laced with flavors of fresh dark fruits and spices which are underlined by a lovely touch of acidity keeping it fresh and inviting through the supple finish. This is already outstanding, however it should become even more compelling with just another year or two of additional bottle age.
