Primarily a Merlot-based wine, the ‘Cavaso’ opens with generous black tea, anise and red bell pepper aromas that collect momentum in the glass. The palate reveals a silky texture and wonderfully rich mouthfeel, evoking an underlying decadence. Deep red and dark fruits mingle with leather and shades of chocolate on the palate. While delicious now, I expect it should continue to evolve over the course of the next decade.
