The 2014 Firewater Caberent Sauvignon is a wonderful effort from Jeff and Miriam Riley who produced only 300 bottles of this fantastic wine in colaboration with Steve Mathiasson. The wine itself instantly begins to impress with inviting aromas of dark cherries and currants which are woven together with savory herbs, graphite dusting and sweet toasted nuances that all burst from the glass. On the palate this is possesses a medium-plus body with a gorgeous round, velvety texture that persists through the seamless finish. This Cabernet Sauvignon is quite expressive and drinking beautifully today, however it should also continue to provide drinking pleasure over the next handful of years.
