DUCKHORN Red Wine, Napa Valley ‘The Discussion’ 2018

A stunning blended red wine that consists of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot with the rest being Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot that is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels and then another 6 months in neutral oak. Displaying a lovely dark purple core with a blueish rim in the glass, this wonderful Cabernet-dominant blend packs notes of chocolate covered cherry, rich cassis, dried black currant, black plum, and pencil shaving notes. Tannins are plentiful and focused, acidity is elevated, and it finishes strong. 3000 cases produced in total.
