The 2015 Lewis Napa Valley Chardonnay is an absolute home run and an brilliant job by talented winemaker Josh Widaman. It opens with inviting aromatics of exotic tropical fruits, which are simply striking. The silky texture, almost unctuous quality to this wine borders ethereal. Ripe flavors of crème brûlée, bananas foster, pineapple and lemon zest, which merge tropical with citrus meringue. The hugely impressive finish astounds, as it lingers on and on.
