The 2019 FRV Pinot Noir from Fort Ross Vineyard spends 11 months in 30% new French oak barrels. This combination of Calera, Pommard, Swan, and Dijon 115 clones creates a mélange of dark cherries, crushed wild blueberries, cedary herbs, dried potpourri, and shades of toasted Christmas spices. A medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, crunchy sweet tannins, and lemony acidity finish things off. Give this some time to develop, as it’s still a baby. 865 cases made.
