HUNDRED SUNS Syrah, The Rocks District ‘River Rock Vineyard’ 2020

A creative and interesting Syrah from Hundred Suns that actually comes from The Rocks District. 100% whole cluster is used during fermentation and it’s aged mostly in terracotta. It’s a low touch, low intervention Syrah that gives notes of dried and fresh blackberry, dried hay, crushed olive, ground white pepper, iron and wet clay. It’s very beaujolais-like - silky smooth, easy drinking, and could be labeled a Pinot Noir lover’s Syrah. Just 95 cases produced.
