As everyone knows, I absolutely adore Syrah’s coming from The Rocks District because of the telltale sign of funkiness (no pun intended) that you always get from well-crafted wines from this area. Aromas of boysenberry, pink grapefruit pith, black-peppered charcuterie, and black plum skin combine beautifully in the glass. A full-bodied mouthfeel merges with the pleasant acidity and sweet tannins to compete the wine.
