This wonderful blend of 50% Funk Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% River Rock Syrah, and 25% Winesap Merlot was aged for 18 months in all neutral French oak barrels. Displaying a stunning shimmering garnet-purple core with a light brick rim in the glass, this is a stunning bottle of wine from the Rocks District. It has Cabernet features of blackberry, cassis, and sweet herbs, but also those funky Syrah aspects of crushed olives, toasted peppercorn, and bacon fat. I love that they decided to use only neutral oak to let the fruit shine. It’s silky smooth with no rough edges and a wine that I highly recommend. Only 46 cases made.
