100% Merlot from The Rocks District that was aged in all neutral oak barrels for a total of 18 months. A glimmering medium ruby core with a light pink rim, the 2021 Merlot from Moonbase isn’t a variety you typically see grown in the area, but when it is, the wines produced are incredible. Aromas and flavors of blueberry pie, blue plum, red cherry, dusty country road, and graphite, with a touch of smoked meat and leather to round things off. Tannins are rounded and sweet, and the acidity is pronounced. 98 cases made.
