WHITE ROSE Syrah, The Rocks District ‘The Convivial Feast’ 2022

I love how so many Willamette Valley wineries are starting to buy grapes from The Rocks District and dipping their hands into making Syrah. In my opinion, this area produces the best Syrah grapes in the New World. This is the first 2022 Syrah I have tasted out of bottle, and despite being incredibly young, it shows loads of promise. A medium neon ruby core with a fluorescent pink rim in the glass, this is a lighter style Syrah that boasts notes of blueberries, wet earth, pink peppercorn, white grapefruit pith, and olive brine. It finishes long and earthy. Better in 2024.
