A shimmering light to medium lemon core with a silvery rim, the 2020 Athas Chardonnay from Aubaine is a stunner. Honeydew melon, white peach, kiwi fruit, wet white clay, white linen, and fresh sea breeze notes abound on the nose and on the palate. It’s tart but lush at the same time as it moves across the tongue, delivering excellent minerality and stone-fruit tones on the mid-palate. A lovely Oregon Chardonnay that I highly recommend.
