My favorite wine from the Bethel Heights 2021 vintage, the Casteel Pinot Noir features a raspberry core with a neon pink rim. It sees 40% new French oak barrels for a period of 11 months. It glides across the palate with amazing balance and tension, focusing on those lush red fruits, lemon zest, plum skin, wet-tilled earth, vanilla bean, Earl Gray tea, and crushed stone flavors and aromas. Rounded sweet tannins and perfect levels of acidity finish things off. A lovely wine. Only 415 cases were made.
