CRISTOM Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills ‘Louise Vineyard’ 2021

Biodynamic and organic fruit from vines planted between 1993 and 1997 make up the 2021 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir from Cristom. About 45% whole cluster was used during fermentation, which gives it some added structure and tannin across the palate. Featuring a glowing ruby-pink core that leads to a silvery rim in the glass, the nose pops with aromas of cedary herbs, black raspberry, blue plum, white pepper, milk chocolate, Asian spice, and mushroom. I loved the structured density in the wine without it becoming overpowering. It finishes with a red-blue fruit and a citrus oil note on the mid-palate. 792 cases made.
