ROSE & ARROW Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills ‘Gathered Stones’ 2019

Displaying a bright neon ruby core with a gorgeous light pink rim in the glass, the 2019 Gathered Stones was my favorite of the line-up from Rose & Arrow. They are meticulous about what vines they use in each wine, depending on the soil composition of each vine. Notes of rose hips, mountain blueberries, crushed huckleberries, old leather, boysenberry, and wet autumn leaves create a composition of aromas and flavors that hit you and don’t let go. Lush and elegant across the tongue, the smooth, silky tannins pair perfectly with the lemony acidity. Incredibly balanced with a lovely backbone, it’s one of the best 2019s I’ve had from Oregon. A small production of 137 cases produced. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
