ROSE & ARROW Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills ‘Hopewell Hills’ 2019

The 2019 Hopewell Hills Pinot Noir from Rose & Arrow saw about 15% new French oak and spent 15 months in barrel. Displaying a medium ruby-cherry core with a lighter red-pink rim, it’s a fantastic bottle of wine that deserves attention. Starting out a touch meaty on the nose, it quickly moves to ripe dark cherry fruit, mulberries, lemony herbs, ground pink peppercorn, and just a hint of sweet spice. Tannins are smooth yet present alongside moderate levels of acidity. It’s exceptionally well made and has the stuff to cellar for the next 10-15 years with proper cellaring. 240 cases were made. Highly recommended.
